Forever Changes The Face of Riviera Beach

as the Project of the Year by the Marine Association
of the Palm Beaches,
Petroleum Marine Consultants, LLC were chosen
to install the full service Texaco Starport
fueling station with an advanced delivery
system utilizing an easy access floating dock
and dispensing only High Octane gasoline and
Marina - grade diesel.
In
coordination with representatives from Seven
Kings Holdings, PMC designed a system that
met the perimeters set forth by the developer
and operator of this unique project.
Fuel storage is accomplished by the installation
of a 20,000 gallon split compartment (10,000
gasoline / 10,000 diesel) Eultron underground
storage tank. Temporary sheetpiling was installed
during tank excavation due to high water table
and unstable soil conditions. The anchoring
of the underground storage tank was achieved
by the use of deadman anchors, with stainless
steel wire rope, stainless steel cable clamps,
and stainless steel turnbuckles. Imported
3/8” pea rock backfill was used to obtain
a stable and self compacting tank installation.
The
delivery system consists of Fe Petro 2 hp
submersible pumps, discharging fuel through
2” Environ Geoflex piping.
Geoduct
is installed from the STP piping sumps thru
the seawall to the fuel dock as to allow the
product piping to be installed and removed
without future excavation. Two PMC Superflow
dual hose single product dispensers are installed
on the fuel dock for state of the art and
reliable fuel delivery. Fueling will be controlled
by a MPC-8H-25 authorization console installed
within the dock masters office.
Environmental
compliance, inventory control, and fuel system
monitoring will be achieved thru the use of
a Pneumercator TMS 3000 tank management system.
